Congress’ contributions in freedom movement must be highlighted, says leader

Congress Party in-charge of Gajapathinagaram Constituency Chitrada Durgaprasad on Friday said that the party’s contribution in India’s freedom movement and the development of Independent India should be highlighted for the present generation.

He urged the students pursuing courses in History to ensure that others also know the importance of freedom struggle and sacrifices of great personalities like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and others.

He hoisted tricolour in Gajapathinagaram office and asked the party activists to highlight the Congress Party’s great role in achievement of independence from the British. He said that the BJP and its frontal organisations have been misusing social media platforms to undermine the contribution of the Congress Party and to show the first Prime Minister of the country Jawaharlal Nehru in a poor light.

He hoped that the Congress would soon get back its glory as people have been observing the qualities of Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi.
