Congress stages protest in Srikakulam against ‘misuse’ of Central agencies by NDA govt.

The Srikakulam district president of the Congress, Ambati Krishna Rao, alleged that the Union government was misusing Central government organisations such as CBI, ED, Income Tax, Election Commission of India and other statutory bodies for its own political gains while ignoring the administration which is supposed to be done in accordance to the guidelines of the Indian Constitution.

Along with party leaders, he participated in Samvidhan Bachao Abhiyan organised in Srikakulam on Saturday (June 28, 2025). He alleged that the Election Commission of India turned into a puppet in the hands of the Union government it was evident with huge difference between polled votes and voted counted during Maharashtra elections. He alleged that the ECI has been doing many mistakes intentionally in revision of voters’ list in Bihar where Assembly elections would be held very soon.

Mr. Krishna Rao has also alleged that the State government was also ignoring rules and regulations in its administration and putting the State in a debt trap. DCC vice presidents K.V.L.S. Eswari, Ijjorothu Ramana and others participated in the protest.
