Covid-19 Cases In India Live Updates: The number of active Covid-19 cases in India has crossed 3,000, with Kerala accounting for the highest number at 1,336 active cases, followed by Maharashtra and Delhi, according to data released by the Union Health Ministry on Saturday. Four deaths — one each in Delhi, Kerala, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh have been reported across the country in the past 24 hours.

Covid-19 cases in major cities: As many as 68 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in Maharashtra on Saturday, taking the toll of active cases to 485. The national capital also recorded two deaths linked to coronavirus since last week, both elderly, a 60-year-old woman and a 71-year-old-man. In Kolkata, the active case count has risen to 30.

Karnataka issues Covid-19 guidelines for schools: Amid a rise in cases, the Karnataka government has issued precautionary measures for both government and private schools. As per the directive, children showing symptoms such as fever, cough, or cold should not be sent to school and must receive proper medical attention. Schools have also been asked to closely monitor students for any signs of illness.
