CPI leader Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy passes away

Veteran Communist Party of India (CPI) leader Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy passed away in Hyderabad on Friday night. 

The two-time Parliament member breathed his last due to prolonged illness. He was not keeping well for a couple of years. A towering figure in Left politics, Sudhakar Reddy played a significant role in strengthening the party across Telangana and the country. He served as the Parliament member from Nalgonda twice and was widely respected for his commitment to workers’ rights, social justice, and secular values.

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao expressed their condolences. Mr Revanth Reddy described him as a principled leader from Mahabubnagar district who remained steadfast to his ideology until the very end. Ministers and leaders of various parties condoled the death and recalled his services to the downtrodden.
