LeBron James did it, so why not Cristiano Ronaldo?

For years, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has spoken about one dream: sharing the pitch with his son.

Now, that possibility is edging closer to reality.

According to a report from Al-Wiam, Al Nassr are considering promoting Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. to the senior squad next season.

If it happens, it would mark a historic first: a father-son duo playing together in a professional football match.

Why Would Al Nassr Make This Move?

From a club perspective, the move would strengthen ties with their biggest global star and also create a once-in-a-lifetime sporting moment that would captivate fans worldwide.

And then there’s the obvious part — Ronaldo Jr. isn’t just “the son of Cristiano." He’s seriously good.

Ronaldo Jr. Is Building His Own Name

At just 15, Ronaldo Jr. is already carving out his own path.

Despite being born in the United States, he represents Portugal at the youth level. He made his Under-15 debut and has since progressed to the Under-17 setup, featuring in tournaments such as the Vlatko Markovic International Tournament.

Before Al Nassr, whom he represents now, he spent time at the academies of Manchester United and Juventus — two clubs where his father built his legacy.

And now? There’s another giant lurking.

Real Madrid Enter the Chat

Real Madrid are reportedly keeping close tabs.

As per The Athletic, Ronaldo Jr. even trained with Madrid’s U-16 side earlier this year, sparking buzz about a potential academy move.

Nothing is official yet, but the interest is very real. And that’s exactly why Al Nassr might want to act fast.

Not a Done Deal (Yet)

Before anyone gets carried away, this is still in the evaluation stage.

The club is planning a full evaluation of the youngster — from his physical readiness, to his technical ability and his capacity to compete at the senior level — before making a decision.

Because while the narrative is irresistible, top-level football isn’t a fairytale.
