Madhuri Jain Grover was judged too quickly in Lock Upp 2

Actor Chaitali Kohli says entrepreneur Madhuri Jain Grover's recent comments on family planning have been widely misunderstood, adding that the backlash focused more on her choice of words than her intent.

"I watch Bigg Boss and Lock Upp very diligently, so I naturally have my own opinions on what's happening. Recently, there was a huge conversation around Madhuri Jain Grover's remarks, and many people labelled her as elitist. But I honestly have a different perspective," she says.Explaining her stance, Chaitali adds, "I don't think she meant to insult or look down upon anyone. What I understood was that if you don't have the financial resources to raise children comfortably, then having more children only increases your struggles.

I think that's what she was trying to say."She believes the controversy arose from how the statement was phrased. "She probably expressed herself in a very short and direct way, which made people interpret it differently. But I don't think her intention was to create a divide between the rich and the poor. It was more about responsible parenting and understanding your own capacity."Chaitali feels financial stability should be a key consideration when planning a family.

"If you have the means to provide a good life, quality education and opportunities for your children, that's wonderful. But if you're already struggling financially, bringing more children into that situation only adds to the hardship for everyone involved. Sometimes having one or two children and giving them a secure future is a wiser decision.

"Summing up, she says, "I feel Madhuri was judged too quickly. She's a successful businesswoman, and I believe her point was about being practical and responsible rather than being elitist. Sometimes the choice of words can become bigger than the actual message."
