LUCKNOW (India CSR): HCLFoundation, which drives the corporate social responsibility agenda of HCLTech in India, today provided advanced intensive care equipment to the Saloni Heart Center, housed in Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow.
The initiative strengthens critical care infrastructure at Uttar Pradesh’s first dedicated pediatric heart facility for children born with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD), addressing long-standing gaps in access to specialized paediatric cardiac treatment and post-operative care in the region.

The state-of-the-art medical equipment provided by HCLFoundation includes:
- Panda ResusView Warmer with Resuscitation Trolley, ensuring safe thermal regulation with integrated resuscitation support during critical cardiac episodes
- SLE 6000 – Paediatric Neonatal Ventilator, a high-precision ventilator designed for newborns and infants requiring gentle, controlled respiratory support
- GE Bilisoft Fibre Optic Phototherapy System, a phototherapy solution for treating neonatal jaundice, particularly vital for CHD infants who cannot be frequently transferred
“Equitable healthcare is achieved when the availability of specialized care is proportionate to ‘unmet need’. By enabling advanced ICU capabilities at the Saloni Heart Center, we hope to strengthen a critical link in the pediatric cardiac care pathway, supporting early intervention, safer surgeries, intensive post-operative care and better survival outcomes for children with congenital heart disease. At HCLFoundation, our focus is on building long-term, sustainable capacity within public healthcare systems,” said Nidhi Pundhir, Director, HCLFoundation.

Dignitaries that attended the event included Shri Amit Kumar Ghosh, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary for Medical Health & Family Welfare and Medical Education, Govt of UP; Awanish Kumar Avasthi, IAS, Senior Advisor to Hon’ble Chief Minister, Govt of UP; Himanshu Seth, Executive Chairman, Saloni Heart Foundation; Prof. Radha K Dhiman, Director, Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Science; Prof S. The Saloni Heart Center is supported by the Saloni Heart Foundation (USA), a global nonprofit founded in memory of a child born with CHD whose life was saved through access to advanced pediatric cardiac care. Located within SGPGIMS, the Center addresses a major healthcare gap in Uttar Pradesh, which records an estimated 75,000 CHD births annually. When fully operational, it will be a 200-bed world-class paediatric cardiac teaching and treatment hospital, capable of performing up to 5,000 surgeries annually.
