Mixed reviews for the Mrunal Thakur starrer
ETimes review for the film reads, "For a love story, the music by Bheems Ceciroleo is largely forgettable and fails to add any real emotional depth to the narrative.
Adivi Sesh, who is also said to have contributed to the writing, is sincere in his performance. However, the character itself is riddled with inconsistencies, burdened with unnecessary style and theatrics that don’t really add value. Mrunal Thakur delivers a strong performance despite the limitations of her role.
Anurag Kashyap, as the spiritually quirky cop, comes across more like an unintentionally funny caricature than someone who adds genuine impact.
Prakash Raj, too, doesn’t have much new to offer."'Dacoit' is an action romantic drama written by Adivi Sesh and directed by Shaneil Deo in his directorial debut. The film was shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi. It stars Adivi Sesh, Mrunal Thakur, and Anurag Kashyap in lead roles, with Prakash Raj, Sunil, Zayn Marie Khan, and Atul Kulkarni in supporting parts.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers and the data in this article are compiled from public and industry sources.
