Omprakash Rajenimbalkar expressed gratitude for the quick approval for funds
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A day after Osmanabad MP Omprakash Rajenimbalkar quit Shiv Sena (UBT) and joined Shiv Sena, the Urban Development Department, led by deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde, on Tuesday approved Rs 18 crore for development works in the Dharashiv Municipal Council.A government resolution (GR) sanctioning the funds was issued the same day, with the approval coming within 24 hours of Rajenimbalkar writing to Shinde seeking financial support.Reacting to the swift clearance, the MP said, “We had been actively pursuing state govt for various projects essential to the development of Dharashiv city. Deputy CM Shinde took a positive stance and approved the necessary funds, offering a significant boost to the city’s development.”He added that residents will view the decision as a turning point. Rajenimbalkar also expressed gratitude to chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, deputy chief minister Sunetra Pawar and extended special thanks to Shinde for the quick approval. The development has drawn attention as Rajenimbalkar and other MPs who recently left the Uddhav Thackeray faction had cited a “dried down fund-flow” as a key reason for switching sides. As per the GR, Rs 8 crore has been sanctioned for the development of the weekly market in Dharashiv, Rs 5 crore for Rajmata Jijau Garden, Rs 3 crore for Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Garden, and Rs 2 crore for a garden named after Balasaheb Thackeray. The works will be executed through the public works department (PWD).
