Chennai: Days after facing technical hassle in applying for scanned copies of their class 12 answer sheets, CBSE students have started to face snags in applying for revaluation too. While several students said the website was not loading, some of them were unable to access the revaluation section.
A few students who successfully applied said they were only able to do so after multiple attempts.
“First, we have to apply under the section ‘verification’ and make a payment of ₹100. After that, we can apply for revaluation subject-wise, paying ₹25 each for the question. But I have been unable to apply even for verification,” said R Vidya, a parent.CBSE Chennai regional office cited heavy traffic and said that problems, if any, would disappear in a few hours.According to the CBSE’s initial schedule, applications for verification and revaluation were to be held from May 26 to May 29 midnight and answer sheet scans, from May 19-22. However, technical glitches with the website prompted the CBSE to extend the deadline for answer scans to May 25 midnight. No extension in dates have been announced for revaluation dates.“Several students have been trying to access the portal, but in vain. The board had announced that it would give ample time for students to check the answer scans and then apply for revaluation. There will certainly be an extension of timeline to apply for revaluation. An announcement will come soon,” a principal of a prominent school in Adyar said.
