Delhi school EWS admissions 2026 result: Results of the first computerized draw of lots for admissions through EWS, DG, and CWSN categories for the academic year 2026-27 have been declared by the Directorate of Education, Government of NCT of Delhi.
This drawing took place at 10:00 AM. This is the beginning of the process of admitting students in private unaided recognized schools.After the announcement, guidelines have been provided to facilitate the process of document verification and admit all candidates who are selected. Selected candidates will be informed about the verification centers via SMS to their registered mobile numbers.Document scrutiny to be conducted by zonal teamsA total of 29 zonal teams have been constituted under the supervision of District Deputy Directors of Education across 15 districts.
Each team comprises the respective zonal DDE, a section officer or equivalent official, and two data entry operators. These teams are being trained on the provisions of the RTE Act and the process of document verification.Verification will take place solely on the basis of the information provided by applicants in their online application forms along with the documents uploaded by them. A help desk/single window mechanism will be established in district offices for document verification.
Mandatory Documents & Eligibility CriteriaApplicants needed to upload documents pertaining to date of birth, income certificate/BPL/AAY ration card for EWS, caste certificate for DG, disability certificate for CWSN, and proof of residence. Income eligibility is capped at less than Rs. 5 lakh annually.Residence proof is limited to specific documents, including ration card, domicile certificate, voter identity card, utility bills or passport.

Document verification by zonal authorities will take place from April 9 to April 22, 2026. Candidates who fail to report will be given a final opportunity between April 23 and April 28, 2026. Schools are required to admit recommended candidates without additional scrutiny. Non-compliance may invite action under the RTE Act, 2009 and DSEAR Act, 1973.
