Delhi High Court upholds Rajpal Yadav's conviction in cheque bounce case

The Delhi High Court has upheld the conviction of Rajpal Yadav in multiple cheque bounce cases and ordered him to return to jail. The court criticised Yadav's conduct as dubious and declined his plea for leniency under the Probation of Offenders Act, noting repeated indulgence was shown but not reciprocated. After failing to honour settlement agreements, despite several opportunities, the court ruled a further six-month sentence following his earlier three-month term. Yadav refused to accept a settlement or pay additional amounts, stating heavy financial losses. The complainant had agreed to a full and final settlement, but no final agreement was reached.
