Delhi University team wins CNLU’s moot court contest

Patna: Delhi University law faculty team emerged winners of the fourth edition of the CNLU-Cyber Law National Moot Court Competition, 2026. The team from National Law University, Delhi, were declared the runners-up at the final rounds of the competition held at Chanakya National Law University (CNLU) on Sunday.The three-day event received a total registration of more than 50 teams from premier institutions from across the country, with 16 teams qualifying for the two preliminary rounds, and four teams qualifying for the semi-final rounds held on Sunday. The competition was organized by the moot court committee of CNLU with Vijay Kumar Vimal as the faculty coordinator.Giving away prizes to the winners, Orissa high court’s former chief justice S Murlidhar outlined the importance of moot court competitions in the life of law students.

The moot court helps law students in understanding the legal complexities and solving the problems in an easy way.CNLU vice-chancellor Faizan Mustafa said the discussions made by students on cyber law were quite thought-provoking. They provided some interesting insights on the issues related to child pornography.The panel of judges who judged the contestants included former chief justice of Orissa high court, S Muralidhar; Shalini Sati Prasad of Messrs J Sagar Associates; Maharashtra National Law University’s associate professor Ashok P Wadje; Kunal Kapoor of Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys, and Manwendra Kumar Tiwari of CNLU.
