Delhi is likely to see another spell of rain on Friday, July 10, a day after heavy downpours flooded roads, uprooted trees and disrupted traffic across the capital. The rain, however, also brought a rare relief as the city recorded its cleanest air in nearly three years. The IMD has also issued an Orange alert for the national capital and adjoining areas for today, Friday.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the Delhi today weather forecast suggests light to moderate rain in many places, with moderate showers possible in isolated areas. Occasional thunderstorms are also expected, particularly during the morning and forenoon.
The weather in Delhi is expected to remain generally cloudy throughout the day. The maximum temperature is likely to stay between 32 and 34 degrees Celsius, while the minimum could range from 24 to 26 degrees Celsius.
Weather Today Delhi: Rain And Thunderstorms Expected
Those checking the today-weather Delhi forecast should prepare for more showers and possible disruptions.
Easterly winds are likely to blow at 5-10 kmph during the morning before strengthening to 10-15 kmph in the afternoon. By evening, the winds are expected to turn southwesterly and continue at speeds of 10-15 kmph.
The IMD has warned that Friday’s rain and strong winds could lead to minor traffic disruptions, a higher risk of road accidents, power outages and partial damage to vulnerable structures.
Residents have been advised to check traffic conditions before leaving home and follow official advisories issued during the day.

Weather Today: Will It Rain In Delhi This Weekend?
According to the IMD’s seven-day forecast, Delhi could see very light to light rain on Saturday, July 11, along with thunderstorms and lightning during the forenoon and afternoon.
Temperatures, however, are expected to rise, with the maximum likely to remain between 35 and 37 degrees Celsius.
Rainfall is expected to ease significantly from Sunday, July 12. Generally cloudy to partly cloudy skies are forecast through Monday and Tuesday, July 13 and 14, while maximum temperatures could climb back to between 36 and 38 degrees Celsius.
Weather experts have linked the persistent rain over the past two days to the seasonal monsoon trough shifting northwards from central India towards the Himalayan foothills.
Delhi is likely to continue receiving widespread rainfall until the weather system moves further north. Drier conditions are expected from July 12 onwards.
