Gurgaon: A 23-year-old delivery executive, Govardhan from Bihar’s Muzaffarpur, died on Wednesday after he was critically injured in a hit-and-run near Millennium City Centre metro station on May 9.
Two weeks on, the accused driver remains at large.According to police, the accident took place near gate no. 1 of the Millennium City Centre metro station, when Govardhan was heading back to a store on a bike after an order was cancelled. On the way, near gate no. 1 of the metro station, an unidentified car hit his two-wheeler and fled.Passers-by alerted police, and he was rushed to a nearby hospital in a critical condition, where he remained under treatment for several days before succumbing to injuries.A case was registered at the Sushant Lok police station under sections 281 (rash driving) and 106 (death by negligence) of BNS.An officer said, “We are scanning CCTV footage installed near the metro station and along adjoining roads to identify the vehicle involved in the accident. Teams are also gathering details from nearby establishments and checking footage from traffic cameras in the area.”The police officer said efforts are underway to trace the accused driver, who fled after the collision.
