Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to ensure that all approved industrial projects in the State break ground by September 2026 and begin operations by December 2028.

Reviewing the progress of the projects approved by the AP State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) and agreements signed during the CII Partnership Summit held in Visakhapatnam, the Chief Minister said on Thursday that the government must demonstrate its “speed of doing business” model through swift execution.

During the review meeting, IT Minister N. Lokesh informed the Chief Minister that Andhra Pradesh had attracted 756 projects worth ₹21.64 lakh crore over the past 23 months, with the potential to generate more than 21.20 lakh jobs. He said the State was gaining recognition nationwide for attracting private investments and that a dedicated online portal for MSME approvals and services would soon be launched.

The Chief Minister instructed the officials to establish a single dashboard to monitor project approvals, grounding status and employment generation. He said tourism projects should receive top priority in land allocation, followed by IT industries.

‘Goa Plus’ destination

Mr. Naidu also directed the officials to prepare a master plan to develop Suryalanka beach into a “Goa Plus” destination and accelerate the temple tourism circuit connecting 21 major temples across the State.

The government is also focusing on semiconductor manufacturing, green energy, food processing and shipbuilding sectors.

The officials informed that 99 GW of green energy projects were already under implementation against the State’s target of 160 GW.

According to officials, the SIPB approved 282 projects worth ₹11.47 lakh crore so far, of which 114 projects already broke grounding.
