Dharmaraj Adat declines to be part of CU V-C search panel

Dharmaraj Adat, former Vice-Chancellor (V-C), Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, who was recently nominated by the Calicut University senate as a member of the search-and-selection committee for to select its new V-C, has expressed his unwillingness to take up the job. He is reported to have communicated this to the Registrar. According to sources, he cited personal reasons for his inability to be part of the panel. Mr. Adat was picked up by the senate for the job at its meeting on August 23. The official minutes of the meeting are still being prepared and the senate’s decision is yet to communicated to him officially.
