‘DIY SOS’ Nick Knowles announces break to take care of wife Katie Dadzie after surgery: ‘I will disappear for a while’

Nick Knowles, the iconic TV star who is known for his work on ‘Lost in Desert’, ‘The Retreat’, and ‘Nick Knowles in South America’, recently shared an emotional life update with fans. Knowles revealed that his wife, Katie Dadzie, recently underwent surgery, and in order to deal with everything at home and to care for her, he will be taking a step back from the limelight for a while.

The ‘DIY SOS’ star recently announced that to care for his wife following an emergency surgery, he will be taking a step away from his TV responsibilities. While talking to The Daily Mail, the TV presenter opened up about his responsibilities and how he wishes to care for his wife. "I've been looking after my wife a lot because she has been through it. She's had a lot of tough times. She's got another operation coming up”, he stated during the interview.

He shared that the couple has high hopes as Katie has some of the best surgeons looking after her.He also mentioned that he will be taking a step away from his duties, adding, “I will disappear for a while because I’ll be looking after her. I’m always worried [about her], but she’s a warrior and a fighter, so I know she’ll be fine.”

What happened to Katie Dadzie

The Express recently reported that Katie was rushed to the emergency ward of a hospital after her cervix ruptured.

She had gotten a hysterectomy last year, which, according to the Cleveland Clinic, means “a surgical procedure that removes your uterus. After surgery, you can’t become pregnant and won’t get a menstrual period. Reasons for this surgery include abnormal bleeding, uterine prolapse, fibroids, and cancer.

Recovery usually takes four to six weeks, depending on the type of surgery you have.”Following the complications from the procedures, the entrepreneur was told that she would need another surgery to deal with her health issues. Katie has been quite open about her struggles with polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis, and adenomyosis over the years. While talking about the same on her Instagram, she had stated that it was "the most terrifying day” she has lived, and further shared that, “Saturday when it happened, I was in so much pain I couldn't move or walk and just cried on my own in the kitchen from 2-5.
