Doc’s Instagram account hacked

Ludhiana: Police have registered a case against an unidentified person for allegedly hacking the Instagram account of a city-based doctor and uploading objectionable content through it.In her complaint, the doctor alleged that an unknown accused gained unauthorised access to her Instagram account and used it to post content that could harm her reputation and social standing.Following an inquiry into the complaint filed on July 6, police lodged an FIR and launched an investigation.The case has been registered under Section 78(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Section 67A of the Information Technology Act.Investigating officer Inspector Kulbir Singh said the cybercrime unit has been asked to assist in tracing the accused. Police are examining technical evidence to identify the person responsible and determine how the account was compromised.
