For the fourth time since becoming President of the United States, Donald Trump’s visit to medical centre for a health checkup has been publicly announced.

The White House on Monday announced that Trump will have his annual physical on May 26 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. During the visit, he will also meet military personnel.

Trump, who will turn 80 next month, is the oldest US President. His health has been under tremendous scrutiny since he was elected the term though he had been frequently critical of former President Joe Biden for age-related health and fitness issues.

Previously, Trump said he underwent a CT scan in October last year during a visit to the Reed centre to rule out cardiovascular issues and said the test showed no abnormalities. He, however, later said he regretted disclosing the scan because it prompted speculation about his health. However, Trump’s doctor, AP reported reported after an annual physical exam in April 2025 that the president was “fully fit" to serve as commander in chief.

Associated Press quoted Trump saying at an event at the Oval Office that he feels the same as he did 50 years ago. “I feel literally the same. I don’t know why. It’s not because I eat the best foods," he said.

Last week, he even joked about his exercise regimen, saying that he works out “like about one minute a day, max."

The latest concerns come after singer Bill Madden posted on X alongside a picture from the president’s interview, saying: “Trump, sitting during his 60 Minutes interview shows not only how morbidly obese he has become, but that he wears a very thick adult diaper."

In April, clips circulated on social media show moments of apparent hand tremors and fatigue, while one widely discussed image reveals the President standing with his feet spread unusually wide in an “upside-down V-shape," with arms held stiffly at his sides. Some commentators suggested this could indicate issues with balance, coordination, or possible leg bracing.

In another viral clip, Trump was seen limping while exiting Air Force One added to the speculation, with some viewers noting possible swelling or discomfort. Following this, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt had revealed at the time that following swelling in his legs, Trump received a “comprehensive exam" that included vascular testing, The Mirror reported.
