Dr. Avinash Patil receives ‘Ideal Principal Award’ from Mumbai University

KALYAN: Dr. Avinash Patil, Principal of B. K. Birla College, Kalyan, has been honoured with the ‘Ideal Principal Award 2023–24’ by Mumbai University for his outstanding academic and administrative contributions.The award was presented at a ceremony at the university’s Kalina campus by Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, in the presence of Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ravindra Kulkarni, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ajay Bhamre, and Registrar Dr. Prasad Karande.The recognition sparked celebrations among the college staff and students. Education Director Dr. Naresh Chandra, Management Committee Chairman O. R. Chitlange, Vice-Chairman Subodh Dave, and faculty members extended their congratulations.Dr. Patil, a distinguished botanist with a Ph.D. from Mumbai University, has nearly three decades of teaching and administrative experience. For the past eight years, he has led B. K. Birla College as Principal, earning respect for his scientific outlook, innovative thinking, and global academic engagement.
