Drake Maye did not need a touchdown pass to trend on Super Bowl weekend. The New England Patriots quarterback made headlines Saturday after singling out Caitlin Clark during Super Bowl 60 media festivities, a moment that quickly spread beyond football circles.Hours later, his wife, Ann Michael Maye, became part of the conversation herself, sharing a mirror selfie from San Francisco as the Patriots prepared to face the Seattle Seahawks at Levi’s Stadium on Feb. 8.

During media day, Maye was asked which female athlete he would want to catch a touchdown pass from. His answer was direct and unfiltered. “Catch a touchdown pass from Caitlin Clark would be cool. I know she's a baller,” Maye said.

The exchange landed because the respect runs both ways. Clark addressed Maye weeks earlier while appearing on the “New Heights” podcast with Jason and Travis Kelce on Dec. 31, 2025. “Honestly, I'm a Drake Maye fan,” Clark said. “I think he's been incredible... I'll probably be pulling for the Patriots.”Maye entered Super Bowl 60 as one of the league’s fastest-rising quarterbacks. In his second season, he led New England to a 14-3 record and finished second in NFL MVP voting, trailing only Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford by five points.
