The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has kick-started its recruitment drive for 2025, inviting applications for 152 Scientist/Engineer 'B' positions across its various departments.

Issued through the Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC), the notification is a key opportunity for GATE-qualified engineers and science professionals aiming to join India's premier defence R&D institution.Candidates must have valid GATE scores in relevant disciplines to be eligible for the selection process. The shortlisting will follow a 1:10 ratio, that is, for each available post, up to 10 eligible applicants will be shortlisted based on their GATE score, strictly in accordance with discipline-wise and category-wise merit.Those shortlisted will be required to:

  • Confirm their willingness to attend the Personal Interview.
  • Select a preferred interview date from a pre-scheduled calendar hosted on the official RAC portal.
  • The final merit list will be determined by a composite score calculated as follows:

DRDO recruitment 2025: Vacancies

The ongoing recruitment drive by DRDO, conducted through its Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC), aims to fill a total of 152 vacancies for the post of Scientist/Engineer ‘B’. Out of these, 127 positions are available under DRDO itself, offering roles in cutting-edge defence research and development projects. Additionally, 9 vacancies are open in the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), where selected candidates will contribute to the design and advancement of aeronautical systems.
