The conflict between Iran-US-Israel is causing significant damages in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and other Gulf countries. Iran is responding to US attacks by targeting UAE and other Gulf countries. Since the onset of this conflict, UAE has been hit by 1,714 drones, 334 ballistic missiles, and 13 cruise missiles. These attacks caused major harm to the UAE’s luxury hotels, refineries, airports, and major commercial zones.

In response to the attacks by Iran, Saudi Arabia has expelled Iran’s military attaché and several other diplomats. They have been given 24 hours to leave the kingdom. Saudi has termed Iran’s attacks a “flagrant violation of international law” and also warned of “serious consequences.”

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Saturday said that it is responding to missiles and drones launched from Iran. “UAE air defences are currently responding to incoming missile and drone threats from Iran,” the UAE Defence Ministry wrote on X.

Iranian aggression began in response to the Israel-US strikes in the country on February 28 which resulted in killing of 86-year-old Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Iran began targeting Israeli and US assets in several Gulf countries and Israel, causing disruption in the waterway and affecting international energy markets and global economic stability.

The Indian embassy in Saudi Arabia on Saturday organised consular and attestation services in multiple cities across the kingdom, according to a post on X.

“Glimpses of consular and attestation services being rendered by the Embassy of India at Dammam, Jubail and Hail today. The consular issues of Indian diaspora, visiting the centre, are being addressed satisfactorily,” the post said.

The UAE Ministry of Defence reported on Saturday that the country’s air defence systems have intercepted a large number of aerial threats since the beginning of the conflict in West Asia. These include 341 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles and 1,748 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched from Iran.

In its statement on X, the ministry added that on 21 March 2026 alone, UAE air defences engaged 3 ballistic missiles and 8 UAVs launched from Iran. “Since the onset of the blatant Iranian aggression, UAE air defences have engaged 341 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles and 1,748 UAVs,” the statement said.
