Amid concerns over shortage of LPG, a Pune-based restaurant’s witty post calling US President Donald Trump “a dumb orange-haired man," whose action led to rising cost of LPG, has caught attention in the social media.
The satirical post on Trump read, “Due to a recent war started by a dumb orange-haired man, prices of crude oil have increased, resulting in higher prices of LPG and plastic. Hence, new rates will be effective from 21st March. Kindly cooperate or help stop the war."

The post soon went viral for its witty approach towards rising LPG prices in India.
The clever wording has been lauded by many social media users while acknowledging the underlying issue of inflation.

In response to the post, one user wrote, “At least they are honest and creative about why prices are going up."
Another commented, “This is hilarious but also painfully true, given how global events affect local businesses."
A third user said, “Only in India will you find such notices that mix humour with frustration." Another added, “Smart marketing, people will come just to see this notice in person." Some users also reflected on the broader issue, with one writing, “Jokes apart, inflation is hitting small businesses really hard." Another comment read, “Global politics has local consequences, and this is a perfect example of that."

Meanwhile, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways said that two Indian LPG carriers, Jag Vasant and Pine Gas, carrying a combined 92,600 metric tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) have successfully transited through the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most sensitive maritime chokepoints amid escalating West Asia tensions.
The LPG carriers have 33 and 27 Indian sailors onboard, respectively, all reported to be safe. Their successful passage comes as a significant development, given the heightened risks in the region due to ongoing conflict.

The vessels are expected to reach Indian ports between March 26 and March 28, bringing much-needed supplies at a time when concerns over fuel and gas availability have been rising.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had recently assured the Parliament that India currently does not face any immediate shortage of LPG or fuel supplies.
