External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Friday attended the G7 meetings in France, where discussions focused on global governance reforms and pressing international challenges.

During the deliberations, Jaishankar stressed the urgent need for reforms in the United Nations, underlining the importance of making global institutions more representative and effective.

Besides strengthening bilateral ties with participating nations, leaders also exchanged views on the evolving situation in West Asia and its wider global implications.

The External Affairs Minister stressed the need to build resilient supply chains, particularly in the face of ongoing geopolitical uncertainties. He also highlighted challenges faced by the Global South, especially in ensuring energy security and access to affordable resources, according to an official statement by MEA.
