Famed actor Pierre Deny, who was best known for playing Louis de Léon in ‘Emily in Paris,’ has passed away. He was 69 at the time of his demise. The actor is remembered through his extensive acting credits, which span more than 100 films and TV shows.

AFP reported that the actor had passed away following his struggle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as ALS. A statement from his daughters was shared, confirming the news of his passing.The statement read, “It is with deep emotion that we announce the passing of Pierre Deny, which occurred this Monday following a sudden and severe case of ALS.” Deny appeared in seasons 3 and 4 of ‘Emily in Paris’ and played Louis de Léon, the CEO of luxury fashion brand JVMA and Nicolas’s father.
Nicholas was Mindy’s love interest in the series.
Tributes pour in for Pierre Deny after his passing
As soon as the news was shared online, fans, netizens, and even fellow co-stars paid their respects to the late actor. Sylvie Vartan, a famed singer and actress, as well as a close friend of Deny, shared a tribute post for the actor on her social media account. She shared a photo of the two of them, and added that “I have just learned with great sadness of the passing of Pierre Deny.
I shared very good moments with him on stage in Isabelle Mergault's play.
He was a generous actor and a sensitive and funny man. In these painful moments, all my thoughts go to his family and loved ones.”Paul Forman, who played the role of his son on ‘Emily in Paris,’ also paid his respects to the actor, taking to his social media account. He shared a photo of the actor from his time on the show and wrote, “Heartbroken to hear of the passing of Pierre Deny.
It was a privilege to work alongside him and to witness his warmth and talent up close. Thinking of his family and loved ones. Rest in peace.”

He was a renowned and well-respected actor in France and had been credited with working on more than 100 films. Some of these included ‘Une femme d’honneur’ (A woman of honor), ‘Valentine’, ‘Braquo’, ‘La Disparue Du Pyla’ (The Missing Woman of Pyla), and many others.
