End of the road for Uddhav Sena? Rebel MPs likely to announce split today

After days of intense speculation, the split in Shiv Sena (UBT) is likely to be formally announced today, with all six rebel MPs expected to address a joint press conference.

The MPs are likely to release videos and photographs of their meeting with the Lok Sabha Speaker, along with a copy of the letter submitted to him. During the press conference, the rebel MPs are expected to explain the circumstances that led them to take the decision to part ways with the UBT faction.

Sources said two MPs will arrive in Mumbai from Chennai and two from Kolkata, while one MP is already in Mumbai and another is in Pune.

Following the press conference, all six rebel MPs may also meet Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde. If required, they could seek another meeting with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
