Trichy: Tamil Nadu Anna University Teachers Association (TNAUTA) has urged the university to immediately complete the long-pending absorption process and career advancement scheme (CAS) promotions for eligible faculty members.The governing body which met on Sunday resolved to urge the university administration to complete all pending promotion cases without further delay. Members said CAS applications invited in June 2023 remain unresolved three years later, causing hardship and professional stagnation among eligible faculty members.The association expressed concern over the prolonged delay in the absorption process, which began in 2012 but remains incomplete even after 14 years. This has affected service benefits and career progression of several eligible faculty members, it said. If necessary, the association would take up their grievances with the higher education minister and chief minister. TNAUTA president R Prabakaran, general secretary R Udhayakumar, president of Trichy campus B Manikandan, among others attended.
