Telugu Desam Party (TDP) State president Palla Srinivasa Rao on Sunday urged coalition party MLAs and MLCs to actively take the State’s 2026–27 budget to the grassroots, describing it as a comprehensive roadmap aimed at restoring institutional momentum and accelerating development.
Addressing the legislators through a teleconference, Mr. Srinivasa Rao said the budget had three core pillars — development, welfare, and wealth creation, ensuring balanced and sustainable growth. He noted that the financial plan aligned with the long-term Vision–2047 framework and provided strategic direction for the State’s future.
Highlighting the welfare dimension, he said the budget earmarked over ₹91,527 crore for the uplift of the Backwards Classes, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, minorities, and women. He termed the allocation unprecedented and reflective of the government’s commitment to social justice as the central pillar of governance.
Mr. Srinivasa Rao emphasised that it was the responsibility of the elected representatives to clearly explain the budget’s vision and benefits to the people. He asserted that the budget marked a decisive step towards transforming Andhra Pradesh into a leading State in development and welfare.
JSP leader and Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar and BJP State president P.V.N. Madhav attended.
