Fairground ride collapses in Haryana's Surajkund Mela: One dead, several injured

NEW DELHI: A swing collapse at Surajkund mela killed one and injured many, police said on Saturday, reported news agency PTI.The police said that the injured have been shifted to the hospital including two police personnel who tried to save people.“An accident occurred after a swing collapsed at the mela. We are currently assessing the situation. Some people were injured and have been shifted to hospital, where they are undergoing treatment," DCP Maqsood Ahmed said, adding that a proper investigation will be conducted, and action will be taken against the swing operator.More details awaited.
