Farmer found dead in Ratlam field, murder suspected

Indore: A 35-year-old farmer was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Kothdi village of Ratlam district’s Tal police station area on Saturday morning.The blood-soaked body of Rajendra Singh Dangi was found in his field.

Police suspect murder and have launched an investigation.According to family members, Rajendra, a resident of Kothdi village, had left home on Friday night to work in his field as usual. When he did not return till late in the night, relatives assumed that he had stayed back at the farm because of work. However, when he failed to return even by Saturday morning, family members went looking for him.They found Rajendra lying dead in the field in a pool of blood.

Several injury marks were visible on his body and blood stains were spread around the spot.After being informed, Tal police station in-charge Swaraj Dabi reached the spot with a police team and conducted a search of the area. Police also questioned family members and nearby residents.The body was sent for postmortem examination.Dabi said that they were in the process of recording statements of the family members following which further things will be clear.Police said all possible angles are being examined.
