New Delhi: Ferrari 849 Testarossa released in India, and it starts with the pricing at Rs 10.37 crore ex-showroom, before any of the optional extras. Ferrari will unveil this 849 Testarossa in March 2026 as a replacement for the Italian marque’s previous flagship series production model, the SF90 Stradale. It is equipped with the plug-in hybrid powertrain that marries a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with the trio of electric motors, two on the front axle, and one sandwiched between the engine and the gearbox at the back. Upgraded internals, the V8 alone produced 830hp, and factoring in the motors, the combined output stands at 1,050hp.

An 8-speed DCT funnels that power to all four wheels, enabling the claimed 0-100kmph time of under 2.3 seconds. The 849 Testarossa top speed is rated at 330kph, and Ferrari claims that the hypercar’s 7.45kWh battery can deliver an all-electric range of 16-25km. The fascia features the L-shaped LED headlights connected by the gloss black trim across the bonnet cue borrowed from Ferrari of yore, and the layered bumper, which includes an expansive air dam and lip spoiler.

Huge alloy wheels and a retractable roof and A-pillars stand out on the side, along with the large air intakes on the buttresses. The rear end of the 849 Testarossa is defined by its twin tails, high-set dual-exhaust setup, slim LED tail-lamps, and big diffuser. It is heavily geared towards the driver, with the high centre console, no infotainment touchscreen on the dashboard, and a bridge separating the sports seats. A massive 16-inch digital driver’s display relays all the necessary information to the driver, and there is a slim 9-inch screen for the passenger. Ferrari has decked out the three-spoke flat-bottomed steering wheel with loads of physical controls. It also gets a 7-speaker sound system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as part of the equipment list.
