Gaya: Cyber police have registered a case against a man, identified as Rajesh Rao alias Sardar, for allegedly issuing a death threat to Union minister for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) Jitan Ram Manjhi in a viral post.
The video surfaced on a social media platform on Wednesday.According to a press note issued by senior superintendent of police Sushil Kumar’s office, the cyber police station detected the video during routine social media monitoring. “A Facebook video came to light in which a man was seen issuing a death threat, using casteist language and making objectionable remarks against the Union minister,” the note stated.The note added that the accused’s Facebook profile was traced as Rajesh Rao alias Sardar during a late-night technical investigation. A case has been registered at the cyber police station. “Raids are being conducted at suspected locations linked to the accused. Police are also analysing social media activity and technical evidence related to the video,” the press note said.
