Fire safety violations: 7 establishments sealed

Indore: A joint team of Indore Municipal Corporation’s fire department and building permission branch inspected multiple commercial and educational complexes on Saturday and sealed several establishments in Zone 10 over non-functional fire-fighting equipment and blocked emergency exits.

They include SK Gym, Nafees restaurant, Robotwala Coaching, AI & Robotics Coaching, Gyanam Coaching, Apollo Arcade, and Apollo Avenue.IMC additional commissioner Prakhar Singh said that total sealings under the ongoing summer safety drive has reached to 102 buildings.The civic body has also penalized 69 property owners so far with a cumulative fine of Rs 1,96,000 for failing to install rainwater harvesting structures despite receiving statutory warnings.
