NEW DELHI: A passenger, who arrived from Bangkok to Indira Gandhi International Airport on March 31, has been arrested after marijuana worth nearly Rs 13 crore was found in his possession. Customs officials said, "When the baggage of a passenger was subjected to X-ray screening, it indicated suspicious contents.
Upon examination, 13 polybags were found containing a green coloured substance, suspected to be marijuana.
" The net weight of the seized product was 12,910 grams with officials estimating its value at nearly Rs 13 crore. "The contraband along with packing material has been seized and the pass-enger has been arrested under section of the Nar-cotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. Further investigation is under progress to identify the per-sons involved and the associated smuggling network," said an official.
