Former MP G.V. Harsha Kumar prevented from visiting Akividu

The Bhimavaram Divisional police on Wednesday restricted the entry of former Member of Parliament G.V. Harsha Kumar through preventive arrest in Palakollu town while he was reportedly on his way to visit Akividu in West Godavari district. 

Bhimavaram DSP Raghuveer Vishnu told The Hindu that Mr. Harsha Kumar had to be prevented from visiting Akividu to meet the families involved in the recent clash as Section 163 (formerly known as Section 144) was in force in the mandal”.

By evening, Mr. Harsha Kumar was released and sent back to Rajamahendravaram city after being producing before the Palakollu Tahsildar.
