Former Sericulture official dead

Retired Joint Director of Sericulture Department S.S. Sadananda passed away at his residence in Mysuru in the early hours of Monday.

Mr. Sadananda, 94, was ailing for some time. He leaves behind his wife, four daughters, and one son. The last rites will be performed at the foot of Chamundi Hills on Tuesday 2 p.m.

A statement from the Retired Employees’ Association of Sericulture Department said a condolence meeting has been organised by the association members on Tuesday before the cremation. Mr. Sadananda was honorary president of the association.
