Jackie Shroff is all set to charm audiences once again with his upcoming film ‘The Great Grand Superhero: Aliens Ka Aagman’, a sci-fi family fantasy built around the sweet and imaginative bond between a grandfather and his grandson.
Ahead of the film's release, the actor sat down for a candid interview where he spoke his mind about whether the pressure of box office numbers has become too overwhelming for films today.
Jackie Shroff says he never lets box office pressure affect his work
Talking to Bollywood Bubbles about box office pressure, Jackie did not hold back and answered with complete honesty. The actor made it clear that worrying about results has never been his way of working. He said, “Nahi, nahi rehta hai kyunki hum log apna dil laga ke kaam karte hain.
Phir sochna… itna sochna achha nahi lagta hai kyunki dil agar aise hua toh dil toot jaata hai. Itna mehnat karna itna thought ke baad toh 250 picture kar liya.
Jaise exam mein agar fail ho gaye toh fail ho gaye ab kya karun? Koshish toh ki padhai ki sincere the, 8-12 hours kaam kiye dabaa ke kaam kiye.” (No, it doesn't remain because we work with our heart. Then to think… it doesn't feel good to think so much because if the heart feels like this then it breaks.
After working so hard and thinking so much, I took 250 pictures. Like if I fail in the exam, then I fail, what should I do now? I tried my best, I was sincere in my studies, worked for 8-12 hours, worked with pressure.)
Jackie Shroff says success is not in anyone's hands
Adding to his thoughts, Jackie touched on something that every person in the film industry knows but rarely admits openly. He said, “Fir toh baba wo formula 44 toh kisi ke haath mein nahi hai.” (Then, that Formula 44 is not in anyone's hands.)
