Four arrested, nearly 2 kg ganja seized in separate cases

Four persons were arrested and nearly two kilograms of ganja was seized from them in separate operations carried out by the excise department in Boduppal and Secunderabad on Friday, February 20, 2026.

In Boduppal, the Rangareddy Enforcement Team arrested A. Amar while selling ganja in a locality. The officials seized 1.1 kilograms of ganja from him. In another case in the same area, officials apprehended Parla Suresh and seized 320 grams of ganja from his possession. The accused and the seized material were handed over to the Ghateskar Excise Station for further legal action.

In a separate case near Secunderabad Railway Station, the State Task Force-C team arrested two persons for allegedly selling ganja at the Tukaram Gate in North Lalaguda. A total of 515 grams of ganja was seized from the accused, identified as Kamble Manjula and Rakesh Mandal. They were handed over to the newly formed Excise Station at Marredpally along with the seized contraband.

Further investigation is underway into both the cases.
