Four held for vandalising toll plaza on Delhi-Mum highway

Ajmer: Police Sunday arrested four people for allegedly vandalising a toll plaza on the Delhi-Mumbai highway near Bhinai in Ajmer district Friday. According to the police, the accused allegedly damaged the toll plaza cabin and other property after a confrontation erupted between toll plaza staff and a truck driver.

Sources said the toll staff allegedly assaulted the driver, prompting other truck drivers and locals to gather at the site, block the highway and vandalise the toll plaza. Toll employees fled the spot during the violence.Based on a complaint lodged by toll plaza employee Ishwar Singh at Bijaynagar police station on June 27, police registered a case.
