Four proposals to link Tummidihatti with Yellampalli under study: Telangana Irrigation Minister Uttam

In a significant move towards optimising plans to draw water from the Godavari river, the Telangana government is examining four alternative alignment proposals to connect Tummidihatti with Yellampalli.

Speaking at a preparatory meeting with senior officials ahead of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s review on irrigation projects, Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said here on Wednesday (April 29, 2026) that the Government government had commissioned RV Associates and IIT Hyderabad to study the options. Their joint recommendations have been submitted and are now under scrutiny for feasibility, cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
