New Delhi: Samsung’s upcoming foldable might be unveiled on July 22, with Samsung also reported to be planning to unveil its most-awaited and rumoured Wide foldable smartphone at this event. The upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22 is expected to see the introduction of the Galaxy Z Fold 8, along with the wide foldable device.
A wide foldable smartphone is expected to be a response to Apple’s most anticipated foldable smartphone, which is expected to feature a wider screen than usual foldables.
Reports also indicated that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the most-anticipated Wide foldable do not make any reference to the Galaxy Z Flip 8. Samsung has consistently unveiled both Fold and Flip models together at its Unpacked event, so it might be unusual if the Flip lineup is not a part of the announcement.
Samsung is stated to be considering bringing styles support back to either the Galaxy Z Fold 8 or the Wide foldable. And if this is accurate, it might mark the return of the S Pen to its foldable form, which will be missing from the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
Some reports also indicated that with the vertically aligned dual rear camera setup, although these early visuals might not fully reflect the final product. The Galaxy Fold 8 Wide is expected to feature a 5.4-inch cover screen and a 7.6-inch inner display.
At the same time, these sizes are slightly smaller than what users are expecting on the standard Galaxy Z Fold 8. It might also include Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for the a standard 5,000mAh battery, and 45W charging support.
