Bengaluru: A 16-year-old girl who tried to jump from the terrace of a residential building at Ramamurthynagar Thursday morning was rescued by police and fire and emergency officials.Around 10.20am, the girl climbed to the terrace on the fifth floor of her residential complex on Varanasi Main Road near Aneppa Circle, climbed over the safety railing, and said she was going to end her life by jumping. The local residents immediately called the helpline 112. Ramamurthynagar police alerted fire and emergency officials and rushed to the spot.The officials initially tried to convince her to get back onto the terrace and assured her that they would help solve her issues. But she did not oblige. A policeman in plainclothes climbed onto the terrace and caught her by her hand. Immediately, the fire officials and other policemen pulled her back onto the terrace around 11.30am. The girl is not on good terms with her parents and they also opposed her relationship.
