Gnani.ai and Razorpay bring agentic AI to transform in-call payments

New Delhi: Gnani.ai, which is an Indian AI startup, has recently partnered with the famous payment platform Razorpay to introduce an agentic AI collections platform that can complete payment transactions during live customer calls. This latest platform aslo combines the Gnani.ai’s agentic AI systems with Razorpay’s Model Context Protocol server, which enables an AI agent to initiate and finish the payment within the same conversation.

This integration delivers what the voice AI has claimed but never achieved: the ability to complete transactions, not just initiate conversations. By leveraging Razorpay’s Model Context Protocol, they transformed the voice AI from a reminder system into an action completion platform that will going to delivers both automation economics and human-like effectiveness.

The system connects Ganai’s agentic AI system, which the company stated already handles more than 10 million calls a day, with Razorpay’s MCP server, an AI native layer that connects AI agents directly to Razorpay’s payment infrastructure. This gives AI a real-time interface initiate and track payments.

AI agent can aslo assess the customer’s intent, and choose an appropriate payment method, generate a payment link or UPI collect request, and monitor the transaction status while the conversation is still ongoing. The platform currently supports two payment flows: one-time UPI payments and mandate-based UPI SBMD payments for recurring obligations. The companies plan to support other instruments, such as cards and wallets.

Gnani.ai has stated that its platform handles the full workflow, including verifying outstanding amounts, confirming payment intent, generating secure transaction-specific payment links, sending them over channels such as SMS or WhatsApp, tracking payment status, and confirming receipt during the same call.

Its systems also support conversations in more than 38 languages. Payment links are generated with transaction-specific parameters to prevent reuse, and mandate-based payments follow existing UI security protocols.

Gnani.ai and Razorpay stated that the agentic AI collections platform is available immediately for enterprise deployment. Companies stated that financial institutions and enterprises can access the system through Gnani.ai and schedule a technical demonstration as part of the rollout.
