New Delhi: Abode has officially started rolling out the latest AI-powered tool called Quick Cut inside the Firefly video editor. This latest feature is especially designed to automatically assemble a rough first version of a video using raw footage and B-roll, based on the simple text instructions from the users.

Creators just needed to import clips into the timeline, and manually trim those unwanted portions, and stitch together transitions. The users prefer to describe the kind of video they want in plain language. AI then scans the footage, removes necessary segments, selects suitable tasks, and inserts relevant B-roll to create smoother transitions between scenes.

This tool also enables users to select specific B-roll frames, and it will generate short transition clips by using Firefly’s built-in video models.

Through a prompt field in the editor, creators can define the parameters such as aspect ratio, transition pacing, and whether additional B-roll should be included. Quick Cut can also be applied across an entire project to a specific timeline or even to selected clips.

Adobe has stated that Quick Cut is actually meant to speed up the initial editing phase by producing a usable draft. It has clarified that the editors will still need to fine-tune cuts, refine transitions, and make creative adjustments before finalizing the video.

And we also know that Adobe also offered students from 15,000 schools and 500 colleges across the country with complimentary access to its creative and productivity software. The programme also allows the learners to enroll in industry-aligned certificate courses free of charge through recognized higher education institutions.
