'Goat Hung Upside Down': NCP Leader Alleges 'Black Magic' Performed In Baramati Before Pawar's Death

Months after the death of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Chief Ajit Pawar in a plane crash in Baramati, the party’s leader, Amol Mitkari, alleged that “black magic" had taken place near Vidya Pratishthan in the constituency.

Ajit Pawar, a veteran politician and Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister, was killed in a plane crash in Baramati, along with four others, on January 28.

Mitkari, a member of the State Legislative Council, claimed an “Aghori Puja" was conducted near the construction of the Vidya Pratishthan AI building, a day before Pawar’s scheduled arrival at the site.

In a post on ‘X’, Mitkari wrote, “This horrific Aghori puja conducted at midnight near the Vidya Pratishthan AI building construction. Dada was supposed to come here in the morning to inspect the building construction".

In another post, the NCP leader, citing locals, claimed that before the crash, a goat was hung upside down before the residence of Pawar in the Khatlapatta Katewadi.

“This terrifying scene in front of Dada’s bungalow in the Khatlapatta Katewadi area Local residents say that before the plane crash, a goat was hung upside down at this spot and a ghastly ritual was performed below", he said.

Calling for accountability from investigators, Mitkari said, “How did people who believe in superstition attack Dada, who rejects superstition? This terrifying truth must come before the public. The fear doesn’t end here".

The probe in Ajit Pawar’s death is still underway. A CBI inquiry has been demanded in the case, but an order is awaited.

Sunetra Pawar Raises Doubt About Ajit’s Death

During a poll rally in Baramati, Sunetra Pawar raised doubts about her husband, Ajit Pawar’s, death in the plane crash.

She stressed everyone needs to get answers, adding that if anybody is at fault, they should be given the strictest punishment.

Sunetra Pawar is in the fray from the Baramati Assembly Constituency, where by-polls were necessitated after the death of Ajit Pawar.

The election has largely been viewed as a one-sided contest, after the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) and the Congress withdrew their candidates as a mark of respect for the late leader.
