Goethe-Zentrum to screen movie on Germany’s football origins

The German language and cultural institute, Goethe-Zentrum, in association with the Banner Film Society, will screen Der Ganz Grosse Traum (Lessons of a Dream), a highly rated football-related film on June 17. The 2011 movie is loosely based on the life of Konrad Koch, who formally introduced football in Germany. Germany eventually emerged as a soccer powerhouse and World Cup winners. The movie will be screened at the amphitheatre of Goethe-Zentrum in Jawahar Nagar, Kowdiar at 6.30 p.m. Entry is free for the public.
