The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has issued a show-cause notice to actor Ranya Rao in a sensational gold smuggling case. The agency has directed the actor to pay a penalty of ₹102.55 crore following the completion of its adjudication process. The notice was served to Ranya Rao and three other accused individuals inside the jail. According to authorities, failure to pay the fine could lead to the attachment of their properties. This development is part of an ongoing investigation into the smuggling of over 127.3 kilograms of gold, in which the actor was arrested on March 4th.
