New Delhi: Google has officially announced its annual developer conference, Google I/O 2026, which is going to take place on May 19-29 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California. This two-day organized event will be available both in-person and online, and it will also be live-streamed online at io. google. Google has also confirmed in a recent blog that it will be sharing details like its latest AI breakthroughs and the updates in products across the company, from Gemini to Android, and much more.
But Google has not revealed any specifics of what it will be introducing at the event. It has also broadly outlined the category for which the consumers can expect announcements. Google has also stated that the event will feature a keynote address from the Google leaders, fireside chats, product demos, and much more. Gemini Live Integration enables users to get Maps directions, set reminders, and manage services through natural conversations. Deep Research upgrades mode then began supporting file and image uploads, by enabling the users to receive more context-aware and detailed responses.
Google might unveil Imagen 4 for image generation and Veo 3 for the advanced AI video creation. Google announced Android XR, the platform built to power expanded reality devices and experiences. With the Project Marnier and Agent Mode, Google has also showcased AI that can complete multi-step tasks like bookings and purchases autonomously. Google has also previewed Beam, a 3D teleconferencing system that uses multi-camera hardware and light field displays, in partnerships with Zoom and HP.
Google has also recently released some mini-games on its I/O website to keep the users more occupied with something, as the event is more than 90 days away. The concept of these games is to let the users play them so that they can unlock the event date. Since the progress was not liked by individual users but rather by a pool of users, the data has been revealed.
